Key Responsibilities:
Project Financing and Debt Syndication:
- Lead end-to-end project finance activities for large infrastructure projects, including steel and power (thermal and renewable) sectors.
- Develop detailed financial models, feasibility reports, and risk assessments to support decision-making processes.
- Manage submission of financing proposals to lenders, engage in detailed appraisals, and finalize term sheets with stakeholders.
- Oversee loan syndication processes, ensuring optimal capital structuring and sourcing from PSBs and Financial Institutions (FIs).
Loan Documentation and Compliance:
- Negotiate and finalize loan agreements, security documents, and other legal documentation with lenders and legal advisors.
- Ensure adherence to lender requirements and manage compliance with all covenants, including financial and operational conditions.
- Monitor loan disbursements and ensure timely reporting to financial institutions.
Stakeholder Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with major PSBs, FIs, and equity investors, including entities such as PFC, REC, IREDA, PFS, IIFCL, and others.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for financial institutions, investors, and internal stakeholders to address queries and concerns.
Public Issue and Equity Investor Relations:
- Collaborate on public issues and fundraising initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with equity investors, provide financial insights, and ensure transparency in investor communications.
Strategic Financial Planning and Advisory:
- Provide strategic input on corporate financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Evaluate new investment opportunities, partnerships, and mergers/acquisitions to ensure alignment with the company's long-term goals.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend actionable insights to enhance profitability and growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate/project finance.
- Proven expertise in project finance, debt syndication, loan documentation, and compliance.
- Extensive experience working with PSBs, FIs, and equity investors.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, feasibility studies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing public issues and equity fundraising.
- Prior exposure to large infrastructure projects in steel and power (thermal/renewable) industries.
Skills & Competencies:
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines and ensure high-quality deliverables.
