Reporting To: CXO / Business Unit Head
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our organization as Head - Business Planning & Strategy. The ideal candidate will bring robust expertise in business controlling, financial management, strategic planning, operations, and supply chain management. With a proven track record of managing large-scale projects, driving cost efficiencies, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives, the role will focus on steering organizational strategy, ensuring financial health, and supporting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Planning & Execution:
- Develop, implement, and monitor the organization's long-term strategic plans, including expansion initiatives, technology roadmaps, and operational improvement programs.
- Lead strategic forecasting and budgeting for capex, opex, and overall business performance.
- Provide actionable insights by analyzing variances in production, operational costs, and key financial metrics to drive business decisions.
Financial Management & Controlling:
- Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, rolling forecasts, and reporting aligned with CXO-level decision-making.
- Lead efforts in financial modeling for large-scale capital expenditure (Capex) and pricing strategies for products/services.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives by leveraging benchmarking studies and implementing efficiency improvement projects.
Operational Excellence & Supply Chain Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency through process optimization, quality improvement, and yield enhancement initiatives.
- Oversee strategic sourcing and monitor raw material rates to optimize cost structures and ensure operational profitability.
- Implement effective inventory and working capital management strategies to support business objectives.
Management Reporting & Compliance:
- Establish and maintain robust reporting frameworks, including management information systems (MIS), dashboards, and financial reports to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal audit requirements, including taxation and financial policies.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build and manage high-performing teams, ensuring continuous learning and development for key talent.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the organization.
Special Projects:
- Lead and execute strategic projects, such as mergers, joint ventures, long-term customer contracts, and operational restructuring to align with organizational goals.
Experience:
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in financial management, business planning, and operational strategy.
- Proven leadership experience in industries such as manufacturing, renewable energy, or engineering, with exposure to large-scale operations.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in strategy, financial modeling, cost management, and operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems like SAP and advanced proficiency in MS Office.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Leadership Style: Collaborative, results-oriented, and capable of managing cross-functional teams to drive organizational success.
