Job Title: Manager HR Operations & Compliance
Department: HR Reports To: Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO)/ Chief Operating Officer (COO) Location: Chennai/Tamil Nadu
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations Management:
1.
Strategic HR Operations:
o
Oversee large-scale HR operations, managing the employee lifecycle for a growing workforce across multiple locations.
o
Ensure seamless execution of HR processes, including onboarding, PF processing, benefits administration, and exit formalities.
o
Regularly review and optimize HR operational processes to align with the requirements of a listed organization.
2.
Payroll Administration:
o
Manage payroll related requirements for a large workforce, ensuring 100% accuracy in disbursements, tax deductions, and compliance with statutory norms.
o
Collaborate with finance teams to ensure timely reconciliation and reporting of payroll data.
o
Provide guidance on income tax-related matters, including Form 16 issuance and employee declarations.
3.
HRMS and Analytics:
o
Implement and manage HRMS tools to ensure data accuracy, compliance tracking, and efficient reporting.
o
Generate HR analytics dashboards to support leadership decisions, focusing on workforce trends, attrition, and compliance metrics.
4.
Policy Development:
o
Draft and implement HR policies that align with NSE compliance requirements, including whistleblower policies, workplace safety norms, and employee welfare schemes.
o
Conduct regular training and awareness sessions on statutory obligations, taxations and compliance requirements for employees and managers.
5.
Benefits Administration:
o
Administer comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance, life insurance, and retirement benefits.
o
Manage group insurance policies, ensuring timely enrollments, renewals, and claims processing.
o
Educate employees about their benefits and handle related grievances effectively.
Statutory Compliance:
1.
Regulatory Adherence:
o
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and NSE-listed company HR requirements, including PF, ESI, gratuity, professional tax, maternity benefits, and Shops & Establishments Act.
o
Manage periodic statutory filings such as PF, ESI, and tax returns, ensuring error-free submissions.
o
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and implement updates in organizational policies and systems.
2.
Compliance Audits:
o
Prepare and maintain compliance documentation for internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections and NSE audits.
o
Liaise with legal teams and external auditors to address compliance queries and ensure timely resolutions.
o
Develop audit checklists and conduct periodic reviews of compliance status across all HR functions.
Employee Benefits and Insurance Management:
1.
Benefits Administration:
o
Administer comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance, life insurance, and retirement benefits.
o
Manage group insurance policies, ensuring timely enrollments, renewals, and claims processing.
o
Educate employees about their benefits and handle related grievances effectively.
Risk Management and Reporting:
1.
Risk Mitigation:
o
Identify and mitigate HR-related risks, including compliance risks, workforce disputes, and operational inefficiencies.
o
Develop contingency plans for compliance and HR operational risks.

Reporting:
o
Prepare detailed reports for senior management and the board on compliance status, employee benefits, and workforce metrics.
o
Ensure timely submission of HR-related disclosures as mandated for NSE-listed organizations.
Key Skills and Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 7–10 years in HR operations and compliance, preferably in a listed organization or large-scale setup.
In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws, statutory requirements (PF, ESI, tax, etc.), and corporate governance for NSE-listed companies.
Strong expertise in payroll management, HRMS systems, and compliance audits.
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
Proven track record of managing large-scale HR operations in a fast-paced environment.
Preference : Experience from VFX/ Media house will be added advantage but not a compulsory requirement or limitation for candidate selection.
