Job Description
The Accounts Executive plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. This position is responsible for managing and executing financial transactions, accounts management, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. By providing accurate and timely reports, the Accounts Executive supports informed decision-making, identifies financial trends, and helps in budget preparations. This role requires a high degree of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication.
An Accounts Executive must be able to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that the organizations financial policies and procedures are adhered to while fostering good customer relations. Ultimately, the Accounts Executive is essential in guaranteeing that all financial information is accurately recorded and that financial goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct weekly audits of financial transactions.
- Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance.
- Monitor cash flow and identify potential discrepancies.
- Maintain accounting records and files in a systematic manner.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding payment and account inquiries.
- Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
- Generate financial reports for management review.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with financial reporting and budgeting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- High level of integrity and reliability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of local and federal tax laws.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.
