Job Title : IT Manager

About the Role :
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic IT Manager to lead our IT infrastructure and operations in Jhagadia. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud infrastructure management, system administration, and team leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems, both on-premise and in the cloud. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strategic mindset, capable of driving innovation and optimizing IT resources to support our business objectives.
Key Responsibility Areas :
1. Cloud Infrastructure Management (AWS & GCP) :
- Design and Implementation : Architect, design, and implement robust and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and GCP platforms, aligning with business requirements and best practices.
- Availability and Performance : Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of cloud resources through proactive monitoring, optimization, and incident management.
- Security : Implement and maintain comprehensive cloud security measures, including access controls, encryption, vulnerability management, and compliance adherence.
- Cost Optimization : Monitor and optimize cloud costs by leveraging cost management tools, resource scaling, and reserved instances.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity : Develop, implement, and maintain effective disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud-based systems.
- Automation : Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools to streamline cloud deployments and management.
2. System Administration (On-Premise & Cloud) :
- Server and Network Management : Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based servers (Linux/Windows), network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and storage systems.
- Performance Monitoring : Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and stability.
- Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution : Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and network problems efficiently and effectively, minimizing downtime.
- Security Implementation : Implement and maintain robust system security measures, including patching, vulnerability scanning, and intrusion detection.
- Virtualization Management : Manage and maintain virtualized environments using VMware or other virtualization technologies.
3. Team Leadership & Collaboration :
- Technical Guidance & Mentorship : Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with the IT Infra team, Software development teams, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of systems and alignment with business goals.
- Technology Evaluation : Stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, evaluating and recommending new solutions to enhance IT capabilities.
- Vendor Management : Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
4. Documentation and Reporting :
- Infrastructure Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Performance Reporting : Generate regular reports on system performance, capacity, availability, and security metrics for management review.
- Incident Reporting : Document and track incidents, resolutions, and root cause analysis to improve system reliability and prevent recurrence.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on cloud and system administration.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS and GCP cloud environments.
- Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (CSA) or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect (GCCPCA), are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. -
- Experience with security best practices, and security tools. -
- Experience in managing backups and restore procedures.
