Job Title: Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

About the Job:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in the vibrant Mumbai region, focusing on the ceramic tiles and stone industry. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of sales leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the building materials market. This role requires a blend of business acumen, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to drive significant revenue growth through effective team management and strategic client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a regional sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets within the ceramic tiles and stone market.
- Establish clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Recruit, train, and develop sales personnel to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and market expertise.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
Strategic Sales Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends.
- Analyze market data, identify growth opportunities, and develop action plans to capitalize on them.
- Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics to adjust sales strategies as needed.
- Accurately forecast sales and provide regular reports to senior management.
Client Relationship Management and Business Development:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, contractors, distributors, retailers, and government agencies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including project sales for large-scale developments and government infrastructure projects.
- Conduct regular client visits to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide product solutions.
- Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities.
Project Sales and Government Contracts:
- Develop and manage project sales pipelines, ensuring timely and accurate proposals and quotations.
- Navigate the complexities of government procurement processes and build strong relationships with relevant officials.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Ensure all government contracts are compliant with regulatory requirements.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, including performance metrics, market insights, and forecasts.
- Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams based on market intelligence and customer feedback.
Travel:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region to meet clients, explore new market opportunities, and support the sales team.
Qualifications:
Education:
- MBA in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive sales management experience in the ceramic tiles or stone industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Extensive experience with project sales and government contracts.
- Experience with distribution managment.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Deep understanding of the building materials market and sales processes.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze sales data and generate meaningful reports.
- Strong understanding of financial reports.
- Ability to work in a fast paced enviroment.
