Senior Kubernetes Administrator - IT Infrastructure (10-13 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Manage the entire lifecycle of EKS clusters, including provisioning, configuration, scaling, and upgrades.

- Ensure the high availability, performance, and security of Kubernetes clusters in a 24/7 production environment.

- Proactively monitor cluster health, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

- Respond effectively to complex incidents, diagnose root causes, and implement swift resolutions.

- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Helm to automate cluster provisioning and configuration (Ansible experience a plus).

- Collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers to ensure seamless integration of applications with Kubernetes.

- Share knowledge, provide guidance, and mentor junior engineers to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and advancements in Kubernetes and cloud technologies.

Qualifications :

- 10+ years of experience in system administration, cloud computing, or a related field.

- Proven expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters, preferably on Amazon EKS.

- In-depth understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and functionalities.

- Solid experience in handling complex production and non-production incidents and resolving them efficiently.

- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and Helm for infrastructure automation (Ansible experience a plus).

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for continuous learning
