Area Sales Manager

With 7 to 8 years of sales experience, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in the flooring industry or related sectors, with a focus on driving sales, expanding market presence, and managing key customer relationships. Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Strategy Development & Implementation:
  Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the assigned region (Kolkata). Focus on increasing sales and brand recognition in the flooring market, ensuring consistent business growth.
• Team Leadership & Motivation:
  Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Provide guidance and coaching to help team members grow professionally and perform effectively.
• Client Relationship Management:
  Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including contractors, distributors, and dealers. Address client needs and concerns in a timely and efficient manner to foster long-term partnerships.
• Market Expansion & Networking:
  Identify new business opportunities and explore potential markets for growth. Attend industry events, conduct networking activities, and build relationships with new clients to expand the companys reach.
• Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
  Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management. Prepare accurate sales forecasts and ensure performance is aligned with business objectives.
• Product Knowledge & Training:
  Stay up-to-date with the latest flooring products and solutions. Ensure the sales team is well-equipped with product knowledge and support to meet customer needs and close sales effectively.
• Operational Coordination:
  Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely delivery and high-quality service. Resolve any operational issues that may affect the sales process and customer satisfaction.
• Budget & Cost Management:
  Manage the sales budget for the region, ensuring efficient use of resources while maximizing profitability.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 7 to 8 years of sales experience in the flooring industry or related sectors (e.g., building materials, construction).
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead by example.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Deep understanding of the flooring market, including customer needs and competitor landscape.
• Results-oriented with a focus on meeting sales objectives and improving market share.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• An MBA or other relevant qualifications would be a plus.
• Fluency in English and Bengali is preferred; additional language skills are a plus.
