Nokia Networks Interview Questions, Process, and Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Verbal : 2 English comprehension reasoning : usual maths type and logical based questions c/c++ : normal input output and finding error with few questions on data structures ece core : basic analog and lica related questions, theory and problems.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Basics of computer organization and architecture, microprocessors, software skills on c/c++, solving few analog problems of written test. They tested my basics very enjoyable and tiring(to some extent).

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Was asked about myself, likes and interests, career expectations, any previous job holdings, any plans for higher studies.

General Tips: Go through your basics properly and choose your favourite subject carefully.

Round: Test
Experience: Technical mainly concentrated on basic transistor circuits & some communication theory principles. Reasoning was of mediocre level was easy and verbal English was a piece of cake for many of those who attempted.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: I WAS INTERVIEWED IN ALL DOMAINS- was asked questions on c++ , DS- implementation of stacks and queue
using linked list & arrays-programming , n OS principles- mainly on process co-ordination and synchronization. And in the core part, was asked questions from COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE , MICROPROCESSORS- 86 ARCHITECTURE. and COMMUNICATION THEORY. The only hurdle was the technical interview as the HR round was a piece of cake and many who got through the technical were selected in .

Round: HR Interview
Experience: HR round was typically to test whether the student had plans for GRE or would settle in the company and they asked the areas of interest in the company.

Experience: English section was easy,just 3 comprehension passages(5 questions per passage).Analytical section was average but lengthy. Technical section had only 15 C language questions and 15 electronics questions.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Discussion of question paper(Technical part) Various Modulation techniques,their advantages and disadvantages,fields of application (Communication Theory) Details of project work.

General Tips: Basic knowledge of electronics and sound C programming are keys to crack the job.

Experience: Verbal: 2 comprehension based analytical: simple logical question, which can be solved easy, with little bit practice quantitative: usual maths type question, very easy technical: 2 parts-electronics & software, electronics contained basic transister and edc, lica, stld software contained c,c++,output and finding errors, basic.

Experience: They asked details of project work, favourite subject, basics of microprocessor, computer architecture, stld c, c++ coding, data structures basics.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: About yourself, interests, achievements, why you want to join this company, expectations from this company, any other job holdings. Experience was very nice, they were testing the basics with stressing on your favourite subject, HR was usually very cool so as to make up for the stress of the technical part.

General Tips: Work hard, choose 1 or 2 subjects and be very strong in that, rest you should know the basics, don't loose patience and be confident in whatever you speak.

Experience: Verbal was easy, consisted of 2 comprehension, then was analytical and reasoning, even it was easy. Then was C/C++ section, all basic questions. And last was electronics consisting of op-amps and analog.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: First he asked me to draw computer architecture, then he asked me to write a program of swapping without using 3rd variable in C and 8086, after that he asked me the difference between run time and compile time. In last he asked me 2 question from the aptitude papers.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: It was for a short duration. He asked if I have any plans of further studies, why EEE, why this college and why not NIT
Suratkal or NIT Trichy.

General Tips: Concentrate on the basics of C/C++

Experience: This test was offline. Quality of questions was good. there were no negative marking so try to attempt all the questions.
Tips: Try to make a good score in this test although the cutoff was low but it plays an important role in final selection.
Duration: 75 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Interviewer asked me about my area of interest, and maximum questions were asked from them.

i told him that i like coding, Data Structure, Algorithms and Operating System. so he asked maximum questions from these sections in depth.
Tips: While you are going to tell about your area of interest, please make sure that you have the depth knowledge of that subject.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: This round was just a formality. maximum elimination round was Technical interview. if you do good in your Technical Round , the chances of getting select is maximum.
Tips: Be calm and cool.

Experience: Mostly the questions they asked me were regarding the microprocessors and coding (C and c++).The interview lasted for 45 min and during this my technical hr grilled me in every sense.He asked me logical questions regarding the core subjects.
Tips: Basically they just want to test the presence of mind and how you react to the situation.so just keep cool and give your best.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: the hr round was a 5 min round in which they asked if the student had any other offer(in my case it was polaris finance),and the ctc offered by the other company and the reason to select nokia over polaris.rest they asked me about my family details.
Tips: Just be calm and composed during the hr round. The hr round checks the mindset of the participant and his confidence to talk to people. Just be yourself.

General Tips: Keep cool and give your 100% .Rest have faith in yourself and you will do great.
Skill Tips: For communication and micro processors just keep yourself updated with the new technologies.read 8085,8086 properly as they will help you in the process. Internships matter a lot.Hence a good internship with a good firm counts a lot in the process(in my case it was Vodafone and Siemens LTD.)

Experience: As I was already placed in other company so I was not much worried about anything.So my mind was at peace and that was the best thing.Because test paper was a little bit lengthy and aptitude level was of R.S.Agrawal book.but technical was a little bit tedious as it included questions from all the subjects of computer science.So I solved it and as my aptitude was gud so it took me very less time to complete that section and my technical was also prepared so this test was good for me.I was sure that I will be selected in this round and my results confirmed that.
Tips: Before giving this test or test of any company,you should have solved R.S Agrawal aptitude book.And you have atleast studied your technical subject books thoroughly so as that small terms are familiar to you.
Duration: 120 minutes
