Alternate documents for Employee verification?
My new employer asked for my previous offer letters and salary slips. When I inquired, they said it was for background verification. However, I feel that providing these documents might affect salary negotiations, and it feels a bit unethical too. What alternative documents can I provide for employment verification?

Hey, if you are concerned about salary negotiations you can ask them to focus on job titles, dates and responsibilities instead of specific salary details

everyone asks for salary slips these days so not to worry just negotiate with them so that you get a decent hike 👍

Experience certs & relieving letters can be alternatives! They verify employment without revealing sensitive salary info

Asking for the offer letter and salary slips is very standard practice. New employer would like to know the CTC structure to make best possible offer to the selected candidates. Relieving and Experience letters are valid documents for the background verification.

The alternative is UAN no. In EPFO. Which would be the proof of employment. For Salary structure... U can tell them 80 % fixed and 20% variable
