Round: Test
Experience: This round was pretty easy. English section had questions regarding error detection, passage, jumbled sentences, antonyms and synonyms. Logical thinking had position of numbers on cube, flowchart based problem, coding-decoding, blood relations and direction questions. Logical had questions from time-work, speed-time-distance, simple interest, heights-distances and venn diagrams.
Tips: Practice R.S.Aggrawal and also try to solve questions from competition success reveiw (it helps)
Duration: 80 minutes

Round: Group Activity
Experience: Our group discussion was on topic Social media: Boon or Bane for 10 minutes with additional 2 minutes for preparation.
Tips: Try to initiate the discussion, try to speak 4-5 valid points. And if you could not initiate then atleast try to conclude the discussion.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The interview lasted for about half-an hour and I answered all the questions
Tips: Be through with all the concepts. Concentrate more on concrete technology, Structural analysis, Mechanics and Geotechnical.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The HR manager are very calm and I answered all the questions with confidence.
Tips: Be calm and answer honestly.

General Tips: Keep calm and believe in yourself and your preparation. If you don’t know the answer say you don’t remember or don’t know. Be prepared for HR questions in advance like why do you want to join our company. Prepare yourself in advance for the questions like these. Visit company website and wiki page at least a day before and have a look at the projects they have completed.
Skill Tips: I read newspaper daily which I think was sufficient for the general knowledge and for core, follow any standard Gate preparation book (Arihant Publication) or class notes. The experience is a mixed filling as Some questions asked in the exam and in the interview are very general and basic.

Experience: Normally in spec(shapoorji pallonji engineering construction) ,they give maximum focus on career. The company make a list of names from college...you have minimum 80% in 10th and 12th . And u have minimum 8.5 cgpa in college
Tips: Be serious from the beginning of your 1st year

Round: Test
Experience: In written test, you have 2 papers. Technical and non-technical. In technical round you have i.c engine (major), theory of machine, strength of material, production, industrial, refrigeration and air conditioning etc. But don’t be afraid. The questions are very simple. You just need to overlook on the syllabus.  There will be 40 questions in 20 minutes ... So don’t expect numerical questions
.direct theory and formula based questions in non-technical paper you have 40 questions consists of only English .no apti or anything. If you are strong in vocab that is good...if not den it’s ok. Try to cover grammar part.as grammar has 10 marks weight-age.
Tips: I may suggest that if you are preparing for gate, any core company written you can easily crack.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Listen g.d will always be a fish market. Just have focus on the key words of the topic.ex, in my topic key words were Mr. Modi and infrastructure. One thing that this company doesn’t give more emphasis on g.d .you just need to speak.
Tips: Dont worry about g.d. simply this company checks whether you can at least speak in english or not.. G.d. is not an elimination round.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: 1st search that what are the scopes that any engineering construction company has for mechanical engineers... My answer was that for design of duct in air conditioning system, mechanical electrical plumbing,hvac system (heating,ventilating,and air conditioning) for all the above system any construction company needs a mechanical engineer. Another thing is that mechanical engineers are the back
bone of any core company. Wherever there is a machine, there will be a mechanical engineer.Another thing never tell them that you want higher studies. I answered," I have a rough idea related to technology during my 4 years course. Now I just want 2 explore that are the practical applications of those theoretical knowledge"
Tips: Have a brief idea about what is the company ,who are the key persons,foundation of company

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The procedue is very simple.the questions are very simple.have maximum focus on your summer training. In my case out of total 40 minutes interview 30 minutes discussion was related to my project.. 10 minutes from theory of machine(gear,shaft),mechanics of material(types of beam) and last h.r interview.
Tips: Prepare for gate ..you will be having 100% confidence during your personal interview. And finally all the best for your future...any query you can stay in contact with me via facebook.

Experience: Questions were easy but speed and accuracy matters. So you have to be fast and at the same time you have to be accurate.
Tips: Start practicing daily just for 15-20mins around for 1 month before the test.
Practice and accuracy is the key.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: In any interview it is totally upto you how you drive the interview. You are the driver of your interview. So it depends from person to person. They asked me all the technical questions related to my intern and from my favourite subjects . In the start only i said i am good in these subjects and i have done my internship very seriously .
Tips: Be confident. Dont be fake , show yourself. Improve your technical knowledge .
So just be confident and smile.

Tips: knowledge is important but marks matter too.

Experience: Aptitude section comprised 60 questions and English section comprised 40 questions. All questions were of MCQ type and there was no negative marking, test was easy and simple but time to attempt no. of question is less . Also, sectional cutoff as well as total cutoff needed to be cleared in order to pass the test.
Tips: Before sitting for written test try to solve online aptitude and english test as much as you can.I found indiabix.com helpfull for this.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Total Questions: 100

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: 25 out of 40 were selected for interview round that took place very next day of written test. Each selected student was sent to only one person for interview. One Interviewer taking both technical and HR interview at a time. All question asked is mentioned above.
Tips: Learn the coarse subject by heart. Only obtaining marks would not let you job in your hand, knowledge is more important than marks. Make 2 core subject on your tips so that if any question from anywhere is asked can be answered with ease. And most important is be honest with interviewer and yourself, clearly say no if you don't know the answer.

Experience: I was asked repeated questions on a topic untill I answered wrong.It was generally after 4 to 5 questions on a particular topic. After general technical questions they will ask your favourite subject.Then the same continues.
Tips: Be calm and compose. Clear your basics and especially go through your lab manuals. They are really helpful.And accept when you are wrong. Do not argue but don't loose confidence even.

I focused on specifics i was well versed with like S form shuttering. Be prepared for questions on your hobbies. Have atleast two fav subjects thoroughly prepared. You can mention that in the introduction part and expect questions to crop up.
Tips: Stick to your strength and there is nobody stopping you from sailing through. Make the conversation two fold and always have a gentle smile on your face. Keep the interviewer interested.
