Round: Test
Experience: Questions were from basic electrical,,including machines,power,controls etc.
Duration: 1 hr minute

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: There was no monologue.Direct discussion started.
Tips: Never argue.Hear what other's have to say.
Duration: 10 min minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Freindly.Overall it was nice.

General Tips: Be calm when answering questions in an interview!

Funny Moments: One of the interviewer was Japanese.He smiled to whatever I said even when I faltered :D I guess he didnt understand any of my answers!

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Be confident. Speak less and to the point. Dont act smart as they are not inept people taking your interview

Experience: easily cleared written round as they were not so difficult and selection ratio was also good as 21 out of 40 students were selected.
Tips: only basic knowledge of all subjects.
remember all formulas and aspects of production engineering.

Experience: i had done this topic earlier so i had a favour .the group members were also good so fare chance to speak.
Tips: prepare from common and trendy topics and discuss it in group it will help you.

Tips: prepare your internship and project well .

Round: HR Interview
Experience: my hr interview was quite good as i presented my self well ,especially the last question i think gave me an edge as i told them about the profile of r&d as i always wanted to work in the sector so they seem satisfied.
Tips: be patient,tell them true things,some question dont have absolute answer so use your wit and answer it freely.

General Tips: prepare your projects and training well.

Funny Moments: one of the interviewer was japanese and i was not able to get his question clearly so i asked again but couldnot clear,later indian member smiled and explained.

Round: Test
Experience: The written paper consisted of various questions ranging from Engineering Drawing, spring dynamics to basic physics from 11 and 12th class. All the questions were subjective and the students were asked to solve all the questions step wise. Few questions from Material Science and material selection were also asked.
Tips: Students who are aiming for this company should study vehicle dynamics thoroughly. A complete knowledge of mechanics questions from HC Verma will be helpful.
Duration: 120 minutes

Round: HR Interview
Experience: My HR Interview stressed mainly on why I should join R&D sector. The HR asked me different technical questions also. Few questions related to my family back ground were also asked. I had participated in two Formula Student events(Japan and India). So, they asked about those events also.
Tips: One has to rotate the whole interview around a single point agenda i.e why you are suitable for the R&D sector and also that you will not leave the company after a few years.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The tech round was a very long one. It continued for an hour. They asked several questions ranging from Vehicle dynamics to Design of machine elements. They made me draw several diagrams and write formulas related to vehicle dynamics. Questions relating to transmission were also asked.
Tips: Vehicle Dynamics is a must to crack the final tech interview. The whole interview rotated around this point only. One must be clear with DOME and TOM as well.

General Tips: Candidates should be well prepared with all the concepts of Vehicle Dynamics. Basic knowledge of DOME, TOM and SOM should be known to the candidate. Interview sessions will be long and tiring, stay fresh and always be patient while answering a question to the HR.

Motivation: I am from Production & Industrial branch and it was a very conscious effort from my end to shift to the R&D sector. The lucrative salary structure as well as the challenging working conditions as well as the Brand Image of the company was my main motivation.
