Round: Test
Experience: Apart from basic aptitude and bodmas questions there were questions of memory test in which you will be shown a picture for 5-10 seconds and you have to remember it and after some aptitude questions , questions will appear about that image.So be ready for this in online test.There were some bidding questions also like what will you do if you have 1,00,000 rupees and your probability of winning is 50%.Will you invest?? These types of questions were asked.Overall the round was easy.
Tips: Quick Maths,Image memorizing tests
Duration: 35 minutes
Total Questions: 49

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: All these questions were asked and they basically focused on this fact whether you are really willing to take risk with your life as attrition rates are really high.
Tips: Be Calm and cool.

Round: Group Activity
Experience: They organized a trading game for which they will brief you about the rules before they start and even play some dummy rounds to make you grasp all the rules as soon as possible.This round is never repeated so be ready for something new every year.
Tips: Just be calm and try to focus on rules and constraints of the game because the faster you grasp the rules ,the earlier you will start getting benefits.

Round: Stress Interview
Experience: This round was not an interview but a stress round.They will make your group and will give your group a single tab or laptop on which questions will appear and the who answers it first gets the points for that and the one who answers it wrong will get negative points for that
Tips: No fixed tips ,just try to be as much efficient as possible.They stress you and then check your mind's working efficiency.

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Although the criteria was CGPA 7 and above, but another shortlist was provided by the company including only those students having CGPA >7.9.
Tips: For getting into Alstom, you need to have good academic performance. Atleast try to be in top 40 of your branch.

Round: Test
Experience: The test was conducted on CoCubes.The Aptitude section included Quantitative ,verbal and LR. Technical section was purely on Btech syllabus.
Tips: You need to have a good command on your aptitude as in the technical section, you'll get random questions from different subjects.
Duration: 1 hour
Total Questions: 60

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: I lead the discussion, conducting it smoothly, I concluded.
Tips: Listen to the instructions carefully and follow them strictly. We were told to interact in a sober way and not to interrupt others. I started the discussion, and waited for everyone to speak before speaking up the second point.
Duration: 15 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The company focused on Design & Development, mainly focused on projects that I have done. I being a part of SAE Collegiate club, have told about my project.Surprisingly, All 45 min - 1 hour of my interview was about this project of mine. Having a good understanding of my project, I nailed the interview!. It was visible clearly on the interviewers face that he was impressed.
I had also managed and lead various activities in my college which further added as an advantage to my presentation.
Tips: When you have some good projects, then that creates a very positive reflection of you. But you should answer each and every question asked to you in the context otherwise it will have a equally bad impact!
I have removed few other projects of mine the previous night. So it's not about the numbers, but about the understanding of the single project in depth.

Round: HR Interview
Tips: Having clarity of thoughts and good knowledge about the company will help you clear this round.

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: I had uploaded my resume on my college internship portal and on the basis of pointer and 12th percentage the initial shortlisting was done.

Round: Test
Experience: This was a written aptitude round.
The level of question was good and the given time duration was a little less.
All the questions were MCQ type.
Tips: Be fast and strong in your mathematical knowledge.
Duration: 1 hour
Total Questions: 20

Round: Test
Experience: There were 3 coding questions.This round was also a written round.We had to write the code on paper and submit it.
The questions were easy and of beginners level.
Tips: Just focus on your coding skills.
Duration: 1 hour
Total Questions: 3

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: It was 1am when my tech. Interview started, he asked me about my interests and then he saw Java written in my resume. Then my whole interview was about java, oops etc.
He also asked about OS, Life cycle of software product and a little about automata.
Tips: Build confidence while answering any of interviewer questions. Avoid using phrases like- I don't know, I am not sure etc.
It shows that you have less confidence on yourself. If he had skipped anything that you have mentioned in your resume then at the end do remind him about that. It will give a good impression.
And do carry a little bit of luck with yourself as well. Seriously it is one of the factor in your selection.

Round: Test
Experience: It was a written test consisting of 4 sections and 120 MCQs covering the areas of English, Maths, Logical and Programming(C, C++ and JAVA). The questions were of standard level and the English portion was on the difficult side. Each section had some cut off to clear for qualification to the next round. Out of 100 students, 65 were selected for the next round.
Duration: 2 hours
Total Questions: 120

Round: IQ Round
Experience: This round was further sub-divided into 10 small sub rounds. Each one of them was of increasing difficulty. No as such special preparation is needed for this round. You just need to good at memorizing stuffs ;) 21 out of 65 students were selected for the next round.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: They held GDs in groups of 7. All the topics were related to the latest affairs happening around the world. 14 students were selected for the Personal Interviews.
Tips: Maintain a good eye contact with your group members. Do not look at the panel. Express your clear cut views over the given topic.
Duration: 10 minutes

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: There were two interviewers. It started with a brief introduction about myself. Then one of them moved on to ask me some general questions related to the technical skills mentioned in my resume. Then they carried on the discussion with the projects in detail along with the cross questions. They gave me a similar scenario of what I had done for project and asked me to build some approach for the problem. Finally they asked me few questions related to the programming languages I had mentioned in the resume.
PS. 6 out of 14 were selected for the full time role and I was one of them :)

Round: Test
Experience: On campus coding round.29 shortlisted from approx 500 students.
20 MCQs and 2 coding questions.
The coding questions carried equal and high weightage as compared to the MCQs.The coding questions were
1. Check whether a linked list is a palindrome or not.
2.Print a 2D matrix in a spiral manner
Tips: Selection depends on the performance of the students.If you pass all the test cases in both the coding questions fully, then you might be shortlisted.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Total Questions: 22

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Code required for both the questions.Be careful of the corner cases.
Tips: Be calm and composed.Sufficient time is given to think and code.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: This interview was last interview before the conversion from intern to full timer (PPO).

Experience: Test covered up aptitude and DI problem.Only around 70 out of 150 were selected for the next round
Tips: The questions were simple. Try to maintain speed and accuracy. You may practice from R S Agrawal or pariksha.co for improving the speed.
Duration: 1 hour
Total Questions: 45

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: A group of 10 was made from a total of 70 and a total of around 30 were selected for the next round.
Tips: Be confident while illustrating your point. Try to keep yourself updated by reading newspaper or by the internet atleast on the recent topics in the news.
Duration: 10 minutes

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: The main focus of the interviewer was on the project or internship. They also asked about the implementation of the project in real life scenario and its influence on the industry. The interview went on for 20 minutes.
Tips: You should be prepared for the HR question as well as about all the training/internship done. You should have a clear knowledge about the recent and previous projects you have done. Atleast ask a question to the interviewer if given the chance. It really makes an impact and shows your enthusiasm to join the company.

Round: Test
Experience: Test was conducted by Aspiring Minds(AMCAT). In Aptitude section (30 questions) the level of difficulty was decent and the questions tested both speed and aptitude application.
In Technical section (50 questions) the questions tested basic concepts with focus on Metallurgy, Heat Treatment and Machine Design.
Tips: In my experience question were easy straight forward and theoretical. So time is important. do not stick to one particular question.
Duration: 1 hour
Total Questions: 80

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: It was a very good experience. all the questions was asked to check your knowledge and on spot thinking.
Tips: Do not be nervous even if you don't know a answer. take your time, listen carefully and try to relate to things you know. whatever you write in resume you should be ready to tell the usefulness of that.
do not try to manipulate interviewer.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Very basic and almost nominal.
Tips: If you have any future plans (CAT, MS, etc.), keep them to yourself. Never ever be location or department specific and always
remain flexible.
