there ae no layoffs in TCS and will hopefully never happen. There is never too much work hence there is a god work-life balance.

salary s too low and even the annual hikes are at a very low growth rate. getting promoted for people is very random instead of being time-based or merit based.

The pay and appraisal is very less(lesser than inflation), they deduct extra salary in the name of health insurance, more deductions in quarterly bonus even when company show profitability. There is no learning and no improvement in skillsets and any good ideas are just pushed down without even discussing. One major issue that was faced by me was regionalism (specifically by Tamil seniors) where they gave high ratings to tamils even when the work was not done by them in my team and other folks were not given justified ratings. When this concern was raised the seniors and even HR(who is supposed to help employees) started threatening about my job and my career.

TCS is the best organisation to grow and get exposure of latest trends and work with diversified clients placed globally.

Dislikes

Compensation structure, it is a very low pay master. Not even a 10 percent hike per annum while the inflation across nation is more than 30 percent on many products which we consume directly.

You'll be forever guaranteed with a job, only If you perform well, learn your job and do your work, communicate with your team leads, team mates. simple 9-5 job.

Yes. Forever In that loophole with 0 salary increments. I've been here more than 2 years, still 2k improvment in my salary , while my friends were having double the salary they started. No promotions, Not going anywhere with this job.

VARIABLE pay is SCAM, company pays only 25 to 40 percent of that amount. Extended working hours with not benifits. Incompetent management. Poor annual increment.
