GF salary Vs. My salary
Me and my gf have been dating for 5 years. Back in 2020, I started my career with a package of ₹5 LPA. Over the years, I’ve reached ₹22 LPA in 2025. She started her journey with ₹3 LPA(2020) and is now earning ₹8 LPA(2025). We’ve been in a live-in relationship for around 2 years, and the idea was to share expenses equally. But, equal sharing never really happened. If we go to a café she likes, especially with friends, I will pay the entire bill. We only split the house rent and grocery bills. I told her lots of time to cut down these costly cafe expenses or earn more money, increase your package, study and work hard, but.....she is now in her comfort zone. Being from a tech background, I have seen people upgrade their skills and package for a good life in metro cities. I am ready to support her in her studies, but she is like I am earning enough for myself.... No, you are not. I love her, but I don't know how to overcome this issue between us. Please suggest!

Do not pay well even if your performance is good and have been promoted within organisations. New people hired with tags like CA, IIMs would end up in top positions and better payments. Some dept. have good performance management processes. Can't be said same for whole organisation.

Salary: Salary I joined CRISIL at Scale 11A at a Fixed Salary of 15LPA + Variable of 18% on the other hand they hand they had hired at a junior Scale of 10A MBA freshers for a Fixed Salary of 16.5LPA + Variable of 18% in April 2023. I put on the table relevant work ex of 4 years. I felt cheated. It's also because employees as a fraternity don't share(anonymously) their CTC clearly so when switching you don't get the exact picture. You have to rely on limited data available on Glassdoor etc...

Salary is not as per market standards. Appraisals are also much less than prevailing market trend. Verbal promises about appraisal are not fulfilled until you bring outside offer.

Job security Culture depends on your team Flexibility to work. You have enough work but not necessary that you need to login at 11 and log off at 8. Half a day concept isn't there ..so if you take permission from your manager for half a day it isn't considered as a leave . But this is again based on your manager

1.Compensation. They are very bad when it comes to annual hike Culture is bad in many teams Work hours might be extended even post 11 pm 2.No automation or tech - they ask us to learn and upskill and implement things. However, the company will give trainings or LinkedIn trainings and ask for result in automation from a non comp science person in no time 3. I have seen people as associate for 9 plus years . So promotions are rare 4.the goal is set in a very detailed manner that you can get any hike by the end of the year. You get hike is one digit!!
