Salary is much low if you compare with power station jobs in rest of India. The Power stations near Kolkata (Bandel, Kolaghat)are old and ailing. Hence be prepared to spend your life in some of the remotest locations of West Bengal, where other plants are located. If you have a working spouse who cannot relocate or are planning to marry someone like that, then please reconsider your decision of joining this company. You will not be able to lead a proper family life as there is simply no scope of opting transfer. Schooling facility is practically non existent in Santaldih and Sagardighi Thermal Power stations. Employee growth, Recognition of hard work, appraisal etc. do not exist in this company.
