At NGEL Jaipur, Skill development and work satisfaction is good. As CGM, GM, and some of the DGM sir's explain everything like a teacher to juniors. But some DGMs are living in a fake role, they understand themselves king of somewhere while they are nothing more than an employee.... Also, company provides national holiday, those DGMs order juniors to come to office and work on that day also. Which is a very worst culture at this office. Those DGMs also like show offs even if you are not working but showing that you are working they love you...and persons who are actually working but not showing off...they understand they are not involving in the work. I don't know how this culture is going on. Also, everyone including NTPC permanent employee, contract employee, and class 4 staff are given 2 days week off on Saturday and Sunday, but FTE employees are forced to work on weekends as well. At the end, what I think it is a complete ch*tiy* company having nothing to enjoy....Read More

As per herzberg two factor theory, ntpc takes well care of hygienic factors. The factors that are quantifiable, tangible and require policy intervention, but fails miserably in motivational factors, that require plant level implementation of recommended policies

Poor implementation of policies. Top management at plant level sorely lacks people management skills. Lack of two way communication. Majority of the policies that primarily affect employees deployed at plants are framed by the employees in corporate who are either utterly oblivious of the requirements or deliberately ignore. HR practices at plant level are akin to what are considered dysfunctional in academic HR community, and have been obsolete since 1980s....Read More

As an contractual employee no perks given from manegment side like fuel allownce, food allownce. Manegment expects from FTE they will in village, no hra as per city standard no official car facelity for fte. Even work on sundays.
