The work culture. There are no any politics or Judging happening in your work. Flexible working hours. Friendly managers. Even a manager will ask you if you are available before calling over teams. Good perks. Due to complete remote you have the freedom to work from wherever you want. Salary is based on your skillset & Budget for that role not based on your previous CTC.

Dislikes

Due to complete work from home. Some may feel bored after 6 months. If they can provide a small co-working space where people in the same city can join & work it would be good.

Remote working policy is the best thing. Culture and work principles are good. Flexible working hours. Candidate screening is top notch along with good hiring process and interviews testing all aspects.

Dislikes

The salary and bonuses are not up to the mark. There are lot of unnecessary conditions/policies even on reimbursements that are part of salary structure. Appraisals are very poor. Less focus on retaining the employee's and more focus on hiring new employee's. Some products have outdated tech stack. Micro management in some products.

Even though the teams are operating remotely there is a lot of budget constraints. If there is a team meetup, the employees had to spend a lot from their pockets as the company hardly sponsor anything apart from the flight tickets and that too has limit which is weird.

Job Security Some of Product/BU are still based on legacy tech stack. So, you might not be able to work on new cutting edge tech if you are hired for such product/BU. There will be good learning about product but you might not be able to learn new technologies. Very small part of annual bonus is released which is 10% of basic and there are other unnecessary components which are also added in CTC.

Upland Software is the next big thing in my career as I made a switch almost after 4.5 years from my previous organization. Upland being totally remote provides a good work-life balance, there is also no micro-management. As for the work, there are ample opportunities to find a work/tech of your choice to move further in your career. There is no boundations of remaining in the same project as you were hired for and the number of products and the tech they use are immense.
