1.People not having right experience or skills given high posts. 2. You cannot openly put your perspective, if you try to these incompetent people start targetting you. 3. Business/PO has no say in appraising people it is entirely depends on your manager. Even if you perform very well your manager can screw your appraisal. They makesure other team members provide negative feedback to you. 4. People close to manager don't have to come to office but others if take one sick leave manager asks questions. Even they point out at your planned leaves if there is release. 5. If your English is fluent you don't need any other skill. 6. Designations are not aligned with industry 7. Still in initial phase of agile adoption people are having waterfall mindset they don't understand agile. 8. Some projects are vendor driven 9. 1. Promotions are tough. 2. Health insurance for parents is very costly. It is cheaper outside. 3. New joiners are not at all welcomed. You have to beg people for information and that too you will not get. There is a lot of competition due to which no one will tell you anything about the product. Difficult to work here.

1. Leave policies are very good. 12 sick leaves and 23 Vacation leave but few managers ask many questions if you take sick leaves. 2. They have tie-up with pluralsight and courseera so you will have easy access but in most project you will not get enough time.

The inclusive culture of UBS is just too good to be true, I've been part of a team where I'm the one and only female employee, and I've never felt suppressed due to my gender (or even age) by my teammates. UBS as a whole also encourages its employees to learn and implement a lot of things/ideas. The leave policies and hybrid work culture are like icing on the cake!

Dislikes

Hikes/promotions are way too slow at UBS compared to other IBs, but due to all the other benefits, people at UBS do not wish to leave the organisation immediately.

It was fine working with UBS till 2023 until the acquisition happened.

UBS was fine before the acquisition of credit suise, its credit suise people that are making the work environment toxic to work with micro management and taking up the promotions

Credit Suisse was the best company to work for. After its acquisition by UBS, there has been issues with closure of existing profiles and searching for new roles. But UBS has so far not fired anyone from India , they have tried to mostly absorb for some or other roles.

I like the way they reached me things and cared about my process and my manager was very patience with me

I did not like the way they did not hire me but they didn't tell me until last week so my performance and motivation was pretty low and I was expected to be hired after 6 months. they said it was because of the merging with Credit Suisse but they hired other interns
