Appraisal, promotion, salary, work culture, company policy every thing is very shady and poor nothing is clear to the employees. There is no definite policy for anything and the promotion and appraisal is the wrost part. Try to avoid it if possible for a better and brighter future.

On Time Sallary is the only like part.( A small chunks of sugar they give at executive level ) Consumer Perspective ( BY tpcodl which is not implied on field.

Bribe taken by almost every Govt structure employee , Tata has came with a good intent but govt employees of tata are the pathetic who dont want to work & only focused to receive salary. Govt employees work culture is like they will come,will do chit-chat,some offices,Languages they use where i have worked like they came drinking liquor.If you are a diploma fresher i will recommend not to join in officer-commerce and enforcement officer . 1-Bribe by SDO's , Govt Je's , Executive Engineers 2-These above mentioned people ( in rural at least 90% ) use electricity by Hooking , as well line man , meter reader , maintainance staff . The lower cader employee get confidence if the je , sdo can use electricity in free then why we cant . 3-No workethics , you will pressurize to only do collection .( As a engineer if you have a great collection experience or you like collection then join , bcz you have to listen collection term all 24 hour . Your efficiency will measure by how you are a effective bill collector , how you can bring money & also Boot - licking should you know very well , other than boot - licking character within you , you will be measurably fail here. 4-You have to face wrath of sdo , executive engineers if you wont listen ( even if its wrong work to do they say ) Like they are kingssssss. 5- Management does n't want to solve any issue , Lots of Union Issue , ( Lineman & Meter reader are the real boss ) 6-If someone will beat you ( Very General in field ) or in even case you get death like attack no je sdo will gonna help you , only you have to defend yourself . Thinking of Tata provide lawyer its a big joke . 7-Tata power Management has no control over Govt Employees , they took bribe & came office as they want. 8-You will only learn how to be a table passer , time waster ,How you can use free electricity , taking of bribe. 9- The non-worker roam happily & who will work they will be so burden they cant imagine thier worklife balance. 10-HR's are so pathetic , each & every count. Go gor high negoatiable package when interactive with HR's.They will mold you for working in less sallary . I loved the working hours of the company. The company being a joint venture with Govt. Of Odisha, the candidate may enjoy state holidays along with the other assigned holidays by giving time to family.

Dislikes

No growth. Compromised POSH Committee Not at all a healthy atmosphere for ladies HR doesn't provides bonus if a candidate resigns mid month.
