Financially you are well off. Bank takes care of most of the expenses. There is tremendous scope for growth and career advancement. Being the epicenter of the Indian financial sector, SBI can be the perfect stop or destination in one's career in finance sector. Being a public sector entity, it also provides job security and a certain respectable position in local community.

Dislikes

The growth or potential for growth comes at a cost. The poor work culture doesn't go well with the millennials. Although the organisation is doing extremely well, it does come at the cost of employees. Being an officer, long working hours are normal. The postings/transfers also might become tiresome for some as they can be in the remotest corners of the country. Work life balance is an imaginary concept. Targets and many unnecessary initiatives are enough to make your day hell....Read More

Just had to share this, I got a 100% hike!

I'm keeping this anonymous because I don’t want to disclose it in real life. After two years without a raise, I successfully negotiated a 100% increase at my current company. I focused on creating significant value and worked in cross-functional teams to learn as much as possible. There were times when I was overworked, but it was all worthwhile.
