Likes

People I have worked with, not just my team but accross departments. Interaction with top management and an opportunity to learn with them. Leave policy. Hassle free Health insurance. Salary appraisal.

Dislikes

Work load, lack of authority, grievance handling.

Work Details

I have learned a lot. Actually more than ever. Happen to get a chance to interact with almost all the departments and people with different experiences.

Work days: Monday to Friday (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?
