The company had good employee friendly policies. Work from home, good bonus, lots of holidays, good learning opportunities which attracted a lot of good talent back in the day.

The mid level and top level India management has totally ruined the culture which used to be great at one point. These people are just people managers , not managing any work stream but they poke their noses in everything. There is concept of local reporting as compared to work reporting in most companies.
These local managers more often than not , abuse this power.
They hold unnecessary meetings or activities say every day in the week and they delegate their own work to their reportees using the reporting line. All without the knowledge of US or London management, so all this work and time spent goes unaccounted - just will please the local manager. Being free , the local managers have ample time to just play politics.
At any point of time , if you say no or cross them in the slightest way , they make sure that your growth in the company is totally hampered. This ensures that India talent never comes up fully or is realized to full potential due to which any new project is never given to Indian folks....Read More
