Odessa has one of the best team cultures I've been a part of, Everyone is open to ideas, and we work together towards common goals. The hybrid work setup is another perk that I genuinly appreciate.

Dislikes

Sometimes, I wish there was more time to focus on exploring new opportunities within the projects we work on.

Food benefits, hybrid work, some managers were good, but they left or put papers now mostly women mangers left who don't want to take risks, they have limited exposure to system outside industry as they never worked outside Odessa. They just know some part of system well and taking advantage of the same. I remember this manager and under her some 4 people about to leave or left in year, still I don't think HR's takes into account all these signals. Thier future is secure but if you want to really want something to consider for long term growth better avoid it. As an organization it provides enough exposure to employees who have already spent good number of years in protecting them/growing them in all aspects. Few employees who have performed well/in good terms with the leadership get best possible backing in growing within the organization.

Dislikes

Dummy feedback system. Non-professional HRs. Very bad planning as an organization. Sometimes I felt like the vision is not very clear.

The only thing I can think of is the free food. They have free food in the house, so if you are visiting office you can pre-book your meal.

Long list. Will try to highlight important ones. 1) Tech stack: They have their own odessa framework which basically sits on top of .net framework. So you will have to learn their framework first in order to work on any projects. There is no learning opportunities. 2) No proper requirements: There is no planning on how to gate the requirement. They just take the requirement without even understanding how their system works. Since their product is on old technology it is very difficult to do new changes in the product, which the non technical people doesn't understand. 3) Many senior tech employees doesn't know about the new tech skills and they will create a environment where they feel comfortable. 4) Office politics is worst here you will be evaluated based on your line manager feedback. So irrespective how much effort you put in, all will go into vain if you get bad feedback. Line manager will always put dev team under the bus for their mistakes. 5) Compensation and hikes is worst here and is not comparable as per the industry standards.
