No job security, don't expect any growth if you are joining at mid experience level, only people who talks a lot can survive here specially on the leadership role, no value for technical skill, HR policies are flexible to add people or remove any time.

The company had a good and sensitive work culture that was ruined by nepotism and poor micromanagement. People like Vinay P and Akhil Satpute are the worst. One takes benefit of female colleagues in the name of promotion and the other abuses the colleagues verbally. The ESS is a hoax. Before the ESS all employees are called in and shown how to give a rating 5. Old and seasoned people are in the Company and they have such poor work habits that they are no fit for any other Company. Work habits are bad. No one wants to work, no strict HR policies. All have turned a blind eye. They only hire Malayalis and promote Malayalis. Even there is a Malayali Team Manager with no Team at all. No projects are ever successful, No one have Dollar vision towards a project. No one drives no one governs. management gives Projectonly to those who are to be ousted. No Gender sensitivity. Female colleagues face many issues, they are not promoted or supported until they find a JL5 or JL6 to support them. They promote nepotism in the worst manner. I am talking about the times when Sorens sko was CEO. He cared a lot about his employees. And therefore entire management was good, work culture was good. But ever since Vincent C. Hs become CEO, things aren't the same, perhaps it is also due to hard times which ocean shipping companies are facing.

Nothing that we could like. If you butter your seniors you will be given promotion and good hike.

Management is full of politics including HR(People Partner) they should be named as Management Partner not people Partner. They will demote you, keep shuffling you from one team to another team, you cannot voice out coz they will name you with attitude. I am not sure about other GSCs but working in Chennai is not a great choice. If you want to work and not bothered about growth but just keep earning its a good company, keep earning until you retire. The working is very staggered and the organisation structure keeps on changing. With change in organisation structure there is a requirement of lay offs and you are always on the edge. Team building activities are alien concept and the average age in the organisation is very high so not very happening.

Dislikes

The salary offered to me was changed just 10 days before joining with take it or leave it offer. Basically leaving me to face unemployment or accept the lowered offer.
