Local government brings governance to the door steps of the citizens. It fastrack development through the bottom up approach. With local government, you gain a lot of experience through working with partners and frequent interaction with the citizens of the district you work with.

Dislikes

There's too much discrimination especially when the district assembly officials is dominated by the tribes of the district you are working with. You're are most likely to be sidelined especially when money is involved in executing a project.

There is a lot of collaboration between management and us with multicultural among workers. There salary at local is well encourage and also little political interference. It also gives room for us to learn different things.
