Likes

Training is good, slow initially but later it paces up. You have good trainings for soft skill and others but not sure if its really used as much as it can be. No fierce or unhealthy competition. Friendly teams and office culture. The higher management or indegene leadership are good but they seldom have interaction with employees so there is a bridge/gap. All festivities are celebrated with same grandeur, basic amenities are very good....Read More

Poor salary growth and benefits.. A lot of deductions from CTC.. except yearly appraisal (approximately 10-13%) there is no hike, it is the exact same every year even if ur working for 10 years and have the highest/best individual score/rating. Very poor retention or handling by BUs especially for juniors its a struggle. Had to see many good talents quit due to this. No Job security no internal movement even on project closure! this should be major setback for any growing company. In few departments i think there is cultural favorism. I really wonder how so many BU’s managers and leads for from the same ethnicity (not complaining just an observation) Also have seen employees struggle with work pressure most of the time, There should be active and periodic analysis to mitigate this. HRs are not so great at quality hiring or discussions/feedback. they would again take guidance from BU heads/managers. Initially before 2014 i.e HRs were good and well experienced in recruitment and hiring processes. As the company grew, things that made Indegene connected well- people problems, one to one by HR, fun activities etc all reduced and mostly done for the heck of it....Read More

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
