This is my first job, and unfortunately, my experience so far has been quite disappointing. Initially, things were manageable when we only had to go to the office 10 days a month. However, with the revised HR policy, we are now required to work from the office four days a week, with just one day of work-from-home, which is also shift-based. It feels pointless to commute daily just to perform repetitive copy-paste tasks that could easily be done from home. There’s a clear sense of partiality between employees who work remotely and those who have to be physically present in the office. The senior staff, especially the department managers, behave as if they own the company. They often use a harsh and threatening tone when expectations aren't met—even though many of them have never actually done this type of work themselves. There is little to no opportunity for skill development in this role. The nature of the work is so basic and repetitive that employees who are eager to learn and grow find themselves stuck. Whatever knowledge and skills we acquired during our academic years feel completely irrelevant here. This is especially disheartening for individuals who joined with the hope of building a meaningful and skill-rich career. Moreover, the company appears to be entirely dependent on a single client, which poses a significant risk. Recently, the client has started developing AI tools that could potentially replace much of the manual work being done here. If that happens, there's a real possibility that the client may decide to discontinue or scale down their projects with us, putting our jobs at risk. Promotions and recognition seem to depend more on favoritism and flattery than on actual performance. In some cases, employees who have only recently joined the department receive promotions based on appearance or superficial impressions. During peak periods, a few people are burdened with excessive workloads while others are left idle. Yet, when it's time for appraisals, it's often the idle ones who receive the bonuses and salary hikes. Nothing. Manager like Sekhar poddar who played the PUBG game at workplace when he was not manager and worked for CFG dept. But he got the timely promotion as manager since he was very favourite to higher management. Subhojoy kar, for whose wrong calculation ; many new joiners lost their job through lay off ; but his job was saved since he is very close to our beloved Sengupta madam, the main player who plays the 'favourism card'. No job security is here now. No professional work culture. Employee like Arindam Chakraborty , Sayon dasgupta, Sumanta purkayastha, Priyodarshi Ghosh, Sweta Agarwal are doing nothing but since they are very close to the higher management they can get good reward & save their job easily. Full of favourism, no corporate culture, good people who known for their good job never get their respect. Now job security become also very low. For whom ESG dept. Mostly suffers i.e. Subhojoy Kar should be sacked first. People like S.K.D (THE RD BURMAN, whose job to hear the RD's songs in office, going to big resort in weekend & enjoy a fatty salary) having min. contribution to the co. But he can Can easily survive, get promotion , good increment and get good rewards, since they are very close to higher authority, specially the sengupta mam. Pathetic company CULTURE. I Spoiled long 14 valuable years of my career in this bogus co. No training, no value addition, same monotonous work. Oiling here the only Mantra of success. I went to several departments but every departments having same issues. Good promising employees are leaving the company in recent days. Favourism. No Job Security. Minimal Increment. No employee benefits provided, only salary. All the facilities like - bus , occasional food , gift everything is withdrawn to cut the cost & to survive the oiling masters.
