Dear HSCian, While we are glad that HSC’s cultural engagements and lunch have found a mention in the likes section of your review, we would also like to thank you for your contributions at HSC. We believe what you may have perceived as politics could actually be a case of misunderstanding and miscommunication. For there are always two sides & perspectives to any claim. As you must be knowing that HSC is the first organization in the world to be appriased with CMMi level – 5 certification for the three domains of Development, Services and People. As an extension, your claim of “less wage” even after hard work, stands invalid, and is misguiding & vague as all our working processes are defined by well prescribed guidelines, without adhering to which we could not have attained such certifications. Also, with a substantial number of our employees being associated with us for more than 10 years, it would not have been so in case was no “normalisation of salary”. We would urge you to kindly talk to your manager, engineering group head, engineering head or for that matter with Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, for we do not shy away from such conversations and walk the talk when it comes to following the open-door policy. You can also leverage internal platforms like Amber, Zero Hour, Q2M etc. to share your concerns and suggestions anonymously, if you wish so. Nevertheless, we wish many more years of your happy association with us.

Coming to the dislikes section of your review, we believe that you have already made up your mind to write generic, misleading & vague comments rather than providing more context for the benefit of the readers of this review. To start with, irrespective of the sector or scale of any business or organisation, customers are an integral part of the revenue earning process, and we are sure that even you would agree that no organisation can truly prosper if they do not prioritize their customers. But at HSC, just like customer centricity, employee centricity also acts as a cornerstone to our foundational values. These are the same values that have resulted in a rich technical & engineering legacy of over 18 years. We are also fortunate to have HSCians who have been with us since our inception and the media tenure at HSC stands at an impressive 6.4 years. In these competitive times and the sector we are operating in, it would not have been possible for an organisation to be on the growth path that we are on without the support of their employees. However, yes, we do agree that there are times when just like any other software and engineering services company, customer & at times, phase of the project do influence our working routine. That is why HSC has a policy on flexible working hours, which by definition, explains that we do not observe strict office timings. As you must also be knowing that the Flexi Time policy helps ensure that HSCians get break to rejuvenate themselves after extended hours. Since we believe what you might be experiencing could be a case of miscommunication, we would encourage you to talk to your manager, engineering group head, engineering head or for that matter with Mr. Vinod Sood, MD. Dear HSCian, Thank you for sharing your positive review on the opportunities provided to our employees. Saying that, by your own admission that opportunity to work in newer fields is provided to employees, you are contradicting the comment made in the dislikes section of the review. If freshers are provided the opportunity to work on new tech and in new domains, then logically why would an organisation not give such opportunity to employees who have invested their time and have been in the organisation for a longer tenure? A PCMM & CMMi Level-5 certified organisation, with a legacy of over 16 years cannot be where it is right now in this competitive sector by limiting the learning opportunities of its workforce. We would also like you to know that at HSC, our dedicated Learning & Development team schedules various comprehensive trainings from time to time with active inputs from the Engineering team recommending the topics to be covered. We encourage you to leverage those trainings aligning with your areas of interest. Also, HSC encourages self-learning for HSCians to learn at their pace using the training content available online. You can also speak to your manager, engineering group head or engineering head, share your areas of interest & seek their guidance to map your growth path. Centres of Excellence at HSC can immensely add to your learning experience as well. You are also advised to keep on a lookout for Internal Job Postings open for all and apply for a role you are willing to be a part of. Through you we would also like to inform the readers of the review that there are multiple factors considered for movement of an engineer to different project or domain. Relevant skills and the impact on the current project of the seeking employee are a few of the notable factors taken into consideration. Coming to the dislikes section of the review, we find that the comment, ‘Work Satisfaction’ provides us with very little detail and comes across as cryptic. For us to address your issue we would have liked you to share a little more detail. We would like you to know that Employee centricity is one of the key areas that we focus & work hard on. Our long-term association be it with vendors, customers or employees - some of whom have been with us for over 16 years and counting, are a testament of the same.
