Payments were made on time. That was a great thing. However, they should give feedback before removing you from workforce.

Narrato is good for freelancers for a few months. When I joined in April, I had ample projects available to me. Then I worked diligently in May and June and in July they mentioned that my work quality is poor. I have 95% job acceptance rate and my rating is 4. I basically feel that they hire new writers every month and then get rid of them after a few months.

There are several things I like about working at Godot - 1. Positive, professional and friendly work environment 2. Clear direction 3. 5 day working culture 4. Flexible timings for writers 5. Good salary bracket for writer position compared to some other companies 6. No harsh/abusive language from superiors/colleagues 7. No politics, power abuse, position abuse 8. I have been working at Godot Media for over 2 years as a Content Writer. The team is extremely pleasant and easy to work with - polite, amicable environment. The work process is pretty standard and consistent. You are allocated tasks/activities that are only yours to handle. The instructions given from clients, project managers etc. is also direct and easy to understand. During my time working here, I have not had any issues with any colleague or team member - team building and bonding is pretty strong at Godot so if that is something you are looking for in a company, this is the place for you! Being a flat structure organization, you get to work and be in communication directly with the top level, which is a great learning opportunity, and this structure also helps you grow as you can dive into different types of projects....Read More

I guess the only thing I can say is that during peak order months, it can get a bit challenging to manage writing for multiple projects - but nothing that isn't manageable or impossible. You might get tired but isn't that part of any job?

The role offers a lot of flexibility. Work from home was an option even before the pandemic, so you can work from anywhere as long as you've got a good internet connection. You get to work on articles covering a variety of topic areas. This exposes you to new information, some of which is really interesting. Even for the informationthat isn't too interesting, you're at least learning something new and it's a mentally stimulating role. The overall experience of working in this company has been really good so far. The people are approachable and friendly. Work load has been manageable. They have never exceeded the maximum word limit per day, and in case of any problems in completing a task, they are usually quite accomodating. As a work-from-home employee, I find the working hours quite flexible, unless there is urgent work to submit. Also, lucky to have a manager who is extremely helpful and amiable. Haven't found anything to dislike really. I have had a very smooth journey with the company so far. Just a few things that could make the work experience even better - For work from home employees, a little more communication would be helpful. Maybe a quarterly review of our performance, discussing all the positives and negatives could help us improve our work. Not sure about the appraisal policies as couldn't see any documented method of appraisal. The company is very accommodating of employees' needs. Leaves are granted without question. Work from home option available.

Dislikes

Lack of communication, especially from top to bottom. No written policies about leave, deadlines, work hours etc. seem to exist. Rules keep changing now and then. Work from home employees are kept in the dark about most things. Flexibility is promised, but rarely offered. I was hired saying I would be given 24 hours to complete daily assignments. Poor guidance to newbies or say, anyone uninformed WFH writers Unprofessional non-responsive team leads Only negative comments sent, no positive feedback on any work Work deligated irrespective of the education or exp background, If you are from a technical background and you are given a medical topic, hook or crook, you must write no benefits of any kind writers are never in the loop about anything, they are just people who sit at home to earn some pocket money, whom these people can boss over. They are not involved in anything like team outing or even informed of any changes that have happened in the company. Team lead opinion is always right, if the team lead is non-responsive, they are busy. If writers are non-responsive, they are arrogant This company is run by kids who don't know what professionalism means. The management structure looks flat, but it isn't.
