Globant as an organisation is very good. Their policies and core values is very employee friendly.

Dislikes

As Globant is growing, they are bringing in large numbers of people who are not very aligned with Globant’s core values. Which is making Globant culture just like any other.

Appraisal is a myth, cycle is jan to dec but Appraisal isn't given till November of next year that too if you are lucky Billing is key, projects will work you 12 hours a day and at time of appraisal manager will say you didn't contribute much to globant side internal activities even when he knows you were working 12 hours a day, itsjust a convenient excuse to give poor rating so be mindful of that....Read More

- Job Security, company doesn't fire people on bench even when they've been there for months - Financial perks, specially for parents - 3-week Paternity Leave - Flexible Office Days - No minimum hours required for in-office days

- Projects are meh at best, very few of them actually provide learning opportunities - Non-technical managers, some of the worst in the industry - Way too much micromanagement in projects - No promotion for long term employees - No hikes for some people in the last 2 years (2023, 2024). Company keeps making excuses of business beingdown while their quarterly results paint a completely different picture - Those who do get hikes, their hikes are delayed by minimum 5-6 month WITHOUT arrears - Company forces to get multiple certifications in various technologies completely out of pocket, no reimbursement whatsoever. Even when they do get the budget for certifications, it is only for a handful of people, most of us end up paying out of pocket. - Work life balance depends on the manager and project - Managers with a WE-HAVE-TO-DO-IT attitude. Since the managers are mostly non-technical they bring nothing to the table expect micro-management, they just force us to work overtime in the name of customer satisfaction - Company conducts survey to see how the employees are doing. Very good work life balance, flexibility, very good atmosphere to work. Seniors are supportive. No micro management. Good Hikes but delayed in last two years.

Hikes and promotions are delayed from last year, no clarity by the upper management on hikes and promotions.

For some clients the work life balance is almost nowhere to be seen. You will be working for 12-13 hrs a day and sometimes on weekends also.
