I like nothing about EY GDS.

I have been working with EY GDS for the past 1.3 years and the counsellor/ seniors/ managers are not at all supportive for juniors/new joinees. They just listen to seniors/reviewers and expect juniors to learn everything in a day or two.

Work life balance is good in core business services domain. If you got good manager you will really enjoy working here.Most of managers are really good, few are really amazing.

Dislikes

Few managers/supervisor are very rude, they will behave like they are king/queen of the world. And people reporting to them are their slave. They will keep finding reason to poke you, they will make you beg for leaves as well. God forbid if you request for wfh arrangement for a week or 2.

It's all about quantity of billable hours. Slavery is popular & appreciated. Human quotient is absent. Any different approach or idea is condemned. Engineers & non-accounting grads too are hired for accounting jobs. No SOP in place.

Ey has dead work culture the teams which I am part of . Like there is barely any team grouping. Individuals are least bothered about networking. Few seniors and managers have ego issues, they don't like reverse feedbacks. They push all their blames to junior staffs and take credit of all the good work being done by staff. The manager was very supportive and the work life balance was good.

Dislikes

The unnecessary pressure to work from office and the unsupportive rude behaviour of the HR. There was nothing given above and beyond the salary not even box of sweets on small occasions. All the team outings and activities were self sponsored.

No one is supporting.even reporting person also not support. While joining said you need to work from home no need to come in office, after few days said u need to report daily basis in office. It's very pathetic service and lot's of work pressure here.
