Not enough opportunities. And the benefits given were not same across different teams in the same department. I was not given my study leave and hence a handsome amount was lost when I had a chance to receive it as a compensation.

The culture is pretty great. There is a lot of personal development scope. The quality of work depends from team to team, worked in team with great working procedures and in team with really degrading procedures. The key to success is right team, right people and right hard work.

It was pretty good in the initial years, in my case there were multiple movements due to business requirements within the department so I didn't like my last year of experience. You have to be ready for long hours

As a first job in Big 4, got many things to learn. A great place to nurture yourself, competitive environment of course. The good you do the best you get process is carried over here. Work environment is very good, colleagues will be helpful. But yes, work life balance completely depends on you how you take it on your way. As an Audit company everyone must be aware of the busy seasons . It was a wonderful experience being a part of EY assurance team. My peers along with the management group have been really supportive throughout this journey. The best part about EY has been that it allows you to maintain your work-life balance and at the same time provides you the opportunity to pursue your qualifications.

Dislikes

The work pressure at some points of the year gets a bit too high. I feel the compensation and incentives could be better.

The best thing about EY is that it's the perfrct Corporate that gives you just enough exposure, makes you self-reliant and develops your personality. EY is just not a company it's a feeling to carry. It's one of the top companies for Women to work at, and I couldn't agree more to that. We have more female ratio than men.

At EY, just the process to get things done from support teams is difficult.

My Work at EY is upto me how I manage, there are days when I didn't have time to look up from my seat, there are days when I am free for couple of hours. And then every now and then, we have team activities to cheer us up in the busy periods.

The teammates are very learned. They are also knowledgeable and helpful when approached. The career growth is immense. If audit is something that you think is your call then you can see yourself working across shores, across cultures. There is no end to opportunities that come your way. The culture is very professional. EY is not a startup of course so there are a lot of rules which are understandable given the professional services we deliver. The work-life balance is not given a lot of importance. There are months when the work pressure is too much to handle. We work for 12 hours a day. This is specific to Audit. Also, you have to be really good with your networking skills in order to make yourself visible. Visibilty is something that is held high and you'll be hunt downof you just want to sit at your desk all day and not interact with people around. There are a very few office parties. Literally two in a year which are EY sponsored, if I talk about EY GDS. Sometimes at associate level, the nature of work might get quite clerical and repetitive but that sure does improve if you show dedication and the will to learn....Read More
