2. I got to learn new things here, which helped me grow professionally.
Dislikes
1. Poor Management
a) Lack of a Proper Leave Policy: The company lacks a structured leave policy. Initially, it is claimed that there are no strict rules for taking leaves, but later, leave days are deducted from salaries without prior notice, even in cases of emergencies. When approached, employees are encouraged to take leaves butare not informed about these deductions. Upon questioning, the response is that the policy is still being formalized.
b) Inadequate HR Management: HR responsibilities are handled by individuals whose primary roles do not include HR functions. Policies such as Provident Fund (PF) implementation are poorly managed and delayed.
2. Low Pay and Salary Delays: Compensation is significantly below industry standards compared to the workload. A substantial portion of the CTC is allocated to an annual bonus, which is neither ideal nor transparent. Salaries are often delayed, being credited later than standard industry practices.
3. Lack of Work-Life Balance: The company is rigid about start times but dismissive of end times, often ignoring late-night work efforts. Employees are frequently required to work on weekends, even during leaves, and are expected to prioritize company tasks during personal emergencies.
Additionally, the company imposes extra tasks outside regular responsibilities, such as exploratory projects and activities, without additional compensation. These tasks include mentoring, interviewing, and reviewing work, contributing to an overall imbalance.
4. Toxic Work Culture:
a) Unprofessional Behavior: Leadership fosters a toxic environment, often displaying disrespectful communication during meetings. Instances of verbal abuse and unprofessional behavior are common.
b) Unrealistic Expectations: Fresh graduates are expected to perform at the level of highly experienced employees. Doubts and queries are often met with unprofessional and discouraging responses, creating a culture of fear and limiting collaboration.
c) Glorification of Toxic Behavior: Certain behaviors that negatively affect employees are praised, leading to a hostile and emotionally draining environment.
5. Delays in Appraisals: Appraisals are frequently delayed, with cycles often extended without providing arrears. Increment amounts are consistently lower, and the process lacks transparency. Additionally, the annual bonus is delayed beyond the completion of the appraisal cycle.
6. Toxic Hiring Practices for Freshers: Hiring practices for freshers include unrealistic expectations and a lack of proper communication, contributing to a stressful onboarding experience. Additionally, the conversion rate from interns to full-time employees is too low, further adding to the uncertainty and dissatisfaction among freshers....Read More
