Absolute market leader in their space. Prior to the COVID-19 situation since I joined from one of their biggest competitors that gave single digit appraisals, since my role had people management in the mix, if someone told you the compensation and benefits is bad at Dell EMC, then their expectations are pretty unrealistic.

The dominant Dell culture is simply not suitable for EMC considering the fact that Dell is traditionally a B2C company and EMC a B2B. Many a times the enforcement of the Dell culture can be a bit uncomfortable when you have legacy EMC folks in the team. The management particularly in India is aggressive for no reason. And the HR support is absolutely pathetic and most of the times, favorable to a particular gender everyone talks about empowering. I have no objections on it however, when problems arise, they are dealt with a one sided approach. Ethics look great on paper but never put to practice. Consider this, they can make reason to fire you at will blocking your bonuses and whatever was supposed to come to you at will. EMC was a beautiful place to work.
