Pay is average, other than that from culture to work to tech everything has gone way bad.

from last 2 year there is lots of politics overall citi uses very old tech. If you wanna bring anything new there are lots of obstacles and politics. Promotion halted, layoff happening. We have senior developers who can't open vim or work with basic python. So overall everything from work to culture to tech to the job satisfaction is going downhill very fast. Compensation is much better than the market standard Prior to reorganization(mid-2024), the work environment was fine, offering good work-life balance Employees were treated accordingly to their roles and experience

Citi has multiple initiatives to help employee skill themselves, also it provides good compensation to right candidate who is at right place at right time.

It's advantage of having options for employees to skill themselves remains a distant fruit to most of starting or mid level workforce as most of those spend maximum of their time and overtime working/supporting daily application.
