Good company for its work life balance, ethics, trainings and free courses provided, work culture. However it might vary based on projects though.

Dislikes

Salary is not good if you stay in the company for long. Hikes are bad and I joined as fresher 7 years back and today I get 9.2 lakhs which is very low compared to market standards for a Tester.

Giving my review as a fresher here. There's no job security at all. Firstly u will be hired and will be given a domain randomly whether u like it or not. Then after few months of waiting,if u are lucky enough then u will get into a project or else u can be on bench for as long as 2 years completely cuz they hardly have any project.Even if u get a project, despite u join as a fresher but the project manager and team will expect experienced level work from you and they do not fail to scold or shout on u daily if u fail to work as they want to. After 6 months they will remove u from the project and onboard another batch of fresher in that project for 6 months and this goes on. After that being on bench it's next to impossible to get another project. Even if u wish to change ur domain or learn something new and switch to other projects, there won't be any help from the company. Managers are worst here, during appraisal they say I won't give u a rating if u are on bench, u hvto plead to them continuously for a rating and even after that they will give u the lowest rating. They will assign u back to track plan because u are on bench and low rating, the assessment will be of very high level, and if u fail to pass in any of the assessment then u will be asked to resign Lastly they are very strict for work location, u cannot change ur location, even though u hv valid reasons. There's nothing to like about working at Capgemini. Appraisal and promotion cycles are terrible. You will be sad whether you get or don't get promotion/appraisal as their rates are <2%. Work culture is terrible, they'll micromanage your work. If you're not available in your working hours, they'll raise compliance issues but will expect to work overtime without any complaints on short notice.

Personal and work life balance. Good and supportive management. Medical health insurance for employees and their spouse and children is good.

Dislikes

Annual increment percentage is very low. Although they do have quarterly promotions but again promotion hike is also less. Medical insurance for parents and inlaws is expensive.

Capgemini was my first company. It turned my life upside down. They forced me to resign because I was unable to relocate due to personal reasons. I requested their help and told them my story, but they still didn't care. I don't deserve to be resigned. I worked hard and honestly there and still had to face this. In 1.9 years, I did not get a single project to work on in Hyderabad, even though I had the skills. My only request is, please don't do this to freshers.
