The initial days were good, the team seemed like it was supportive and worked in harmony

Dislikes

Please take note of the following details: - Around 7 months ago, a "Senior Technical Manager" was hired. Since then, the team's performance has deteriorated. His arrogance is unprecedented, as he refuses to acknowledge his mistakes and takes credit for others' work. He also micromanages and fails to give fair credit to the team. Despite bringing this to the manager's attention, there has been no improvement, and the HR team seems unaware or unresponsive. As a result, my colleagues and I are considering finding new jobs due to this specific issue. - Despite the company's strong performance, our salary increments barely meet labor laws, even though we work 10-hour days. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of action on these matters. - I can only speak to my personal experience within my team. Other project teams within the company may have different dynamics, but I cannot comment on those as I have no personal experience with them....Read More

New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!
