Benefits are good. In BMC if you get good Dev Manager then your life is good. If you get manager like Deepak Chopra your life will get ruined.

Dislike - My managers micromanagement name is - Deepak Chopra. in his last company many people left (As he was telling me about it like because of pandemic people are getting good opportunity) but in reality every body left because of his attitude and now also in BMC people are leavening because he consider himself as Shahanshah and we have to do kind of mujra in scrum call in front of him just to satisfy his ego. Company is good but manager is worst at everything. Many people are taking anxiety pills bcz of unnecessary stress. If you see from Director perspective everything is good. Just this guy doing all sort of unethical things. Old Technologies. Please dont ruin your carrier even if you get good sal here as no body is joining they have to increase sal...but if they increase sal then this guy will ask you update after evey 2 hours. and add 4-5 people to work on same thing. Benefit and company location but dont join under manager - Deepak Chopra Company timings are Flexible but my manager look at every one timing and login logout details every time. He is always 5 days in a week in the office might be because of his wife sits on his head but he expect everyone to be in the office.

Micromanagement by My direct manager - Deepak Chopra Too much favoritism and Lack of Professionalism - Deepak Chopra Deepak gets panic attacks every now and then that too unnecessarily. Suggestion from me - Even if you dont have any other option and this is the manager please sit at home but dont get in to his project if you love your peace of mind. If you get allocated to him by chance - just ask for project change - and be firm on your decision - he plays lot of politics and tries hard to manipulate. Old Technologies. The only disadvantage I see is that employees are overloaded with work. You wouldn't get much free time and you'd be in front of your screen doing work continuously. I've noticed that some folks hardly wake up from their chairs to take a break since the workload is too much!
