Learning curve is good, Gbt Product is complex and interesting. C-suite management has clear vision and well defined roadmap.

Managerial roles from India geolocation ill/under trained, usually they are promoted to manager role for reasons - They have product knowledge as they would spent 10+ years in org. Seriously lacking work ethics and standards. My higher up manager was literally unable to meet the higher up expectations and would add undue pressure and treat team members not less than master/slave approach. So one should have great emotional intelligence to work with ill trained managers in Amexgbt. In my role I had an amazing work life balance. Never received a call from my bosses to work on holiday or work off .

No skill enhancement. Even if you emailed to the Managers or Directores of a particular project to learn their work, it's seldom that you get any reply.

Amex few HR's never reply or help, when Amex ex -employee want to rejoin Amex they should help them by providing support & feedback needed. They should reply on time.

The problem with amex is that many department are understaffed and they don't hire people resulting into employees cannot take leaves or has to work more hours to show there productivity

Amazing company to work with. Monetary benefits are really good. Insurance and yearly appraisals are greatly appreciated. Perks are good and play crucial role in employee’s motivation. If you are lucky you will get good managers and work journey would be smooth and promising. Amex is a wonderful company and people in higher management i.e. above band 40 are employee centric.

Work culture of every management is different. Few are really appreciating their team members and few will micromanage and do not support. Few teams do not recognise their employee’s effort. Favouritism will be easily seen. If you make good relationship with manager then good work will come to you and you will be appreciated on regular basis. You will get chance to be in meetings with higher management and that increases visibility.If no good terms with management then they will suppress your good work and no recognition for your extraordinary performance in RnRs. After-all your rating is in their hands. Goal’s rating is under employee’s control but Leadership rating is under your manager’s control. Managers can intentionally ruin rating as they dislike that particular. They wont let to take internal movement. Same typical egotistic managers who hide behind the aura of helping rather than actually helping. No job security at Amex. Appraisals are basis how you get along with your bosses.
