Notice period, early join

My current company notice period is two months 23-Dec-2024 to 20-feb-2024. But my new employer asking for early join ie 3rd of feb! I requested for early relieve to My current employer. Verbally they agreed to relieve two weeks early but now they not ready to relieve early. They want me to complete two months notice period. My new employer asking to join early! What can I do? It is good for initial stage of career. They give lot of opportunities for skills development.

Dislikes

Promotion cycle is slow. Only one day week off for rotational shift working employees. Not good benefit for rotational shift employees such only one off per week, not compensation at holidays like festivals.
