My Advice As An Infosys Employee: Don't join IT/ITES
Most IT companies are focused on service delivery and have terrible work culture. Workload can get unmanageable and will wreck your life depending on the project's stage. Projects are very unfulfilling and you'll rarely be proud of your work.
Product companies are a much better bet IMO.

IT/ITES is one of the biggest industries in India yet there are no unions that can vouch for the employees working in these hell-holes.

IT companies seemed heavenly 20 years back when India didn't have very many companies. Now that we have so many, they have lost their charm and hold over employees.

Avoid service-based companies as much as you can. They will suck the soul out of you.

Product, tech, and any company that makes their own products is 10000000 times better than IT/ITES.

Most of these IT/ITES companies spend a ton of money on PR activities or "Employer Branding" to attract talent. All these news articles you read don't come for free. Beware of the trap.

Consider product companies instead of IT/ITES for better work culture and more fulfilling projects.
