Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop business opportunities with government agencies, public sector units (PSUs), and institutions such as schools, colleges, hospitals and other institutions.
- Leverage an existing network to generate and convert sales leads.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure within the government and institutional sectors.
- Work extensively on the GEM portal to bid for tenders and secure government contracts.
- Develop and implement business strategies to enhance institutional sales, focusing on volume-based deals and long-term partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in various government bodies and institutions.
- Drive engagement with educational institutions, research organizations, and NGOs for bulk purchases and long-term contracts.
- Ensure compliance with government procurement policies, institutional procurement procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with government and institutional clients.
- Identify potential partnerships and collaborations with institutions to increase brand presence.
- Monitor competitor activities in the government and institutional sector and devise strategies to stay ahead.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to facilitate smooth order processing and delivery.
- Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, and networking events related to government and institutional sales.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- 6+ years of proven experience in government and institutional sales.
- A strong pre-built network with government agencies, PSUs, institutions, and corporate clients is essential.
- Hands-on experience with the GEM portal and government procurement processes.
- Experience in handling bulk orders, tenders, and high-value deals with institutions.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and business development skills.
- Understanding of government contract laws, institutional procurement policies, and bulk sales processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Willingness to travel as required for business development.
