Accounts Executive (GST)

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Accounts Executive to join our team, specializing in GST filing and ensuring the companies compliance with all GST regulations. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of GST filings, returns, and ensure tax compliance for smooth and efficient accounting operations within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in Preparation and in filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C) as per statutory deadlines.
• Reconcile sales, purchases, and tax ledgers with GST returns.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of GST returns to the GST portal.
• Ensure compliance with GST laws and guidelines, keeping up to date with any changes in the tax legislation.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of GST audit returns, including GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C.
• Manage GST-related issues and queries.
• Monitor input tax credit (ITC) claims and ensure proper utilization or reversal of credits in the returns.
• Reconcile the GST return with the purchase and sales invoices to ensure ITC claims are valid.
• Ensure that invoices are GST-compliant and accurately recorded in the accounting system.
• Reconcile GST returns with the companys accounting records, ensuring accuracy in tax filings.
• Handle discrepancies and resolve issues related to GST filings and payments.
• Coordinate the filing and follow-up of GST refunds where applicable.

Qualification & Skills:

• A Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
• 1-2 years of experience in GST filings,Freshers with good knowledge in GST Can also apply.
• Strong understanding of GST laws, returns, and compliance procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
