Job Title: QA Lead
Department: Delivery
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Lead to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Quality Assurance (QA) process for various banking applications, including but not limited to Flexcube, other core banking systems. This role requires a strong understanding of software development methodologies, testing best practices, and a proven ability to lead and mentor a team of QA engineers.
Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to understand requirements and define test scope.
- Estimate testing effort and resources required for projects.

Test Execution & Management:
- Lead and oversee the execution of test cases, track defects, and monitor progress against timelines.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results and status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage and prioritize testing activities to meet project deadlines.

Team Leadership & Mentoring:
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of QA engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the QA team.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

Risk Management & Quality Assurance:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to software quality.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Automation & Tools:
- Evaluate and implement test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and test coverage.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Utilize testing tools for defect tracking, test management, and reporting.

Stakeholder Management:
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including developers, business analysts, project managers, and clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously analyze testing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay abreast of the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.

Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Flexcubel)
- In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, integration, performance, security, usability)

Experience with testing various banking applications, including:
- Core Banking: Flexcube, Surround application, etc.
- Channels: Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, ATM, etc.
- Products: Loans, Deposits, Cards, etc.
- Regulations: KYC, AML, RBI Reporting, etc.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Java) and test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit)
- Experience with database testing (e.g., SQL, Oracle)
- Knowledge of banking domain and regulations is a strong plus.

Leadership & Communication:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Other:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a lead role
- Experience with specific technologies mentioned in the job posting (e.g., IRIS, C-KYC, Precision-Biometric authentication, etc.)
