Payments Platform Developer

As a Payments Platform Developer, your responsibilities will include:

• Payment System Development: Design, develop, and maintain backend services for processing and managing payments, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• API Integration: Integrate with third-party payment gateways (such as Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay) and banking APIs to enable a variety of payment options, ensuring reliability and security.
• Data Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with financial standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and AML to protect user data and maintain transaction integrity.
• Transaction Management: Develop and manage systems for real-time transaction tracking, reconciliation, and reporting, providing transparency and accuracy for users and internal stakeholders.
• Fraud Detection and Prevention: Implement anti-fraud mechanisms and monitor transaction patterns to detect and prevent fraudulent activities, ensuring secure transactions.
• Scalability and Performance Optimization: Optimize payment systems for performance, reliability, and scalability to handle high transaction volumes without compromising user experience.
• Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing to validate payment processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency across transactions and protecting against potential failures.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, infrastructure engineers, and security teams to align payment solutions with business needs and security protocols.
• Documentation and Code Reviews: Maintain comprehensive documentation of payment workflows, configurations, and security protocols, and participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards.

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in backend languages like Java, Python, or Node. js for payment system development.
• API Development and Integration: Strong experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations, especially with payment gateways such as Stripe, PayPal, and local banking APIs.
• Database Management: Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for handling transaction data and user information securely.
• Security and Compliance: Solid understanding of data protection, encryption, and compliance standards (PCI-DSS, GDPR, AML) required for handling financial transactions.
• Payment Protocols: Familiarity with financial protocols like ISO 8583, SWIFT, and SEPA, as well as various payment methods (credit cards, bank transfers, digital wallets).
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Experience with testing tools and frameworks for ensuring accuracy and reliability in payment processing.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve payment system issues efficiently, with a focus on maintaining transaction accuracy and security.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git for collaborative development and code management.

• Educational Background: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience:
  • Freshers with relevant internships or strong academic projects in payment systems or financial technology are encouraged to apply.
  • Experienced candidates should have 3+ years in payment platform development, financial software engineering, or backend development.
• Certifications (Preferred): Certifications in financial technology, cybersecurity, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) are advantageous.
