Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IoT Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage IoT solutions across diverse industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and reliable IoT networks, integrating various devices, and ensuring seamless communication between hardware, software, and cloud services. This role demands a deep understanding of networking protocols, IoT architectures, and hands-on experience with IoT devices.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Design and Implementation:
- Develop and deploy IoT network architectures, including LAN/WAN, edge devices, and cloud integration.
- Ensure network scalability and reliability for large-scale IoT deployments.
Device Integration:
- Integrate and configure IoT sensors, gateways, and other hardware components.
- Manage device connectivity using protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, Zigbee, and LoRaWAN.
Network Security:
- Implement security measures to protect IoT networks from potential threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Ensure high availability and uptime of IoT solutions through proactive maintenance.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data analysts, and product managers, to deliver end-to-end IoT solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Proficiency in network protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, and DNS.

Experience with IoT communication protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, and Bluetooth LE.

Hands-on experience with network infrastructure devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT.

Strong understanding of network security principles, including encryption, authentication, and firewalls.

Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) for network automation and monitoring.

Experience with tools like Wireshark, Nagios, and other network diagnostic utilities.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualification & Experience Required

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in networking, with a focus on IoT solutions.

Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), IoT-related certifications, or equivalent are preferred.

Experience in designing and managing IoT solutions for industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, or smart cities is a plus.
