Job Description
- Core Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain layer 2 network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN devices)
- Network planning, design, implement and maintain the Network.
- Network Capacity planning & Network Topology
- Troubleshoot and resolve the network connectivity issues
- Configure and optimize network the devices for new setup
- Implement network security policies and procedures
- Monitor network performance and identify potential issues
- Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless network operations
- Configure and troubleshoot wireless networks (Wi-Fi) including access points, controllers, and RF optimization
- Manage and troubleshoot Network Policy Server (NPS) for network access control
- Implement and manage core switching technologies like Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Virtual LANs (VLANs), Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP), Port Channel, Voice VLAN, Quality of Service (QoS), and Network Address Translation (NAT)
- Implement and manage Network Access Control (NAC) solutions to enforce security policies and control access to network resources.
- Manage DHCP services, including IP address allocation, lease time configuration, and troubleshooting.
- IT/OT network/systems staging and infrastructure set-up in the plant or office.
- IT/OT network/systems installations and configurations in the plant or office.
- Maintains and administers IT/ OT networks & systems, including patch management, software and firmware upgrades, application software and configuration appropriate to the day-to-day operations of the network environment like PLCs,DCS and SCADA etc
- At least 5 to 7 years of experience as Network Engineer in a multinational environment.
- Cisco Certifications (CCNA). It is a plus to have other certifications.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
