Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BI (Business Intelligence) Visualization Expert to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying dynamic and interactive visualizations that effectively communicate business insights and data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in transforming complex data sets into clear, actionable, and visually engaging reports and dashboards using a variety of BI tools. This role is critical to helping the organization leverage data to optimize business processes, improve decision-making, and drive business performance.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Design and Develop Visualizations: Create interactive, user-friendly dashboards, charts, graphs, and reports using BI tools (e. g. , Power BI, Tableau, QlikView) to present complex business data in an easily understandable format.
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze and interpret business data to provide actionable insights that support business strategies and decision-making.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into BI visualization solutions.
Ensure Data Quality and Accuracy: Maintain the accuracy and integrity of visualized data by performing regular checks and audits on data sources and visual representations.
Optimize Data Models: Enhance existing BI solutions by optimizing data models, reports, and dashboards for performance and scalability.
Maintain and Update Dashboards: Regularly update and improve visualizations to reflect changes in business priorities, data structures, and analytical methodologies.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on how to use BI tools and dashboards effectively.
Keep Up with Industry Trends: Stay current with new BI technologies, data visualization trends, and best practices, applying them to improve organizational BI capabilities.
Documenting BI Processes: Maintain comprehensive documentation on dashboard development, data models, and workflows to ensure consistent use and future scalability.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

BI Tool Expertise: Advanced proficiency in popular BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar platforms.
Data Visualization: Strong understanding of data visualization best practices, including design principles, color theory, and user experience.
SQL and Data Querying: Proficient in SQL for querying databases, extracting data, and integrating it into BI visualizations.
Data Integration: Experience in integrating multiple data sources, including cloud-based and on-premise databases, into BI systems.
Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas to support data analysis.
Data Analysis and Modeling: Knowledge of data analysis and modeling techniques, including statistical analysis, trend analysis, and predictive analytics.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues in data quality and visualization and implement effective solutions.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data insights clearly and interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and high-quality visual outputs.

Qualification & Experience Required

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. A Master's degree or equivalent is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, or analytics roles, with a proven track record of developing impactful BI solutions.

Certifications (Optional): BI certification such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or equivalent is highly preferred.

Industry Knowledge: Prior experience working with industries such as finance, healthcare, retail, or manufacturing is a plus.

Portfolio: A portfolio of previous BI dashboards and visualizations showcasing your expertise and creativity in data representation is highly desirable.
