Job Description
- Dashboard Design and Development:
- Design and develop interactive and user-friendly dashboards using data visualization tools.
- Collaborate with data analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional dashboard designs.
- Create clear, concise, and visually compelling charts, graphs, and reports that communicate data insights effectively.
- User-Centered Design:
- Ensure that dashboards are intuitive and accessible, focusing on the user experience (UX) and ensuring ease of use for non-technical stakeholders.
- Perform user research and usability testing to continuously improve design workflows.
- Data Integration and Analysis:
- Work closely with data engineers and analysts to integrate various data sources into the dashboard, ensuring real-time and accurate data flow.
- Maintain and optimize existing dashboards, ensuring they evolve with the changing needs of the business.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into actionable design requirements.
- Present design prototypes and final products to stakeholders for feedback and approval.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest dashboard design trends, tools, and best practices.
- Recommend improvements to optimize dashboard functionality and performance.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of design tools like Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch.
- Expertise in UX/UI principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and user-centric design.
- Strong understanding of data structures and data visualization best practices.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for dashboard customization and interactivity.
- Familiarity with data integration techniques, such as APIs, SQL, and database query languages.
- Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, visually appealing manner.
- Attention to detail with a focus on design accuracy, consistency, and usability.
Qualification & Experience Required
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dashboard Designer or in a related role focused on data visualization and UI/UX design.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing dashboards for business intelligence applications.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
Certifications:
- Certification in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
- UX/UI certification is a plus but not required.
